Optimal design of reactive compensation of shore power application in offshore oil and gas fields

Abstract
Based on the system architecture and key equipment parameters of shore power application engineering,the reactive power composition of each link of shore power project is analyzed. Unlike offshore wind submarine cable only connect sea wind field and land grid, an interconnecting submarine cable is added for shore power application project of offshore oil fields. The reactive power compensation problem of single cable becomes that of cable combination. Compared with offshore wind power, reactive power compensation scheme is more complex and difficult to configure. The reactive power compensation configuration scheme suitable for shore power application in offshore oilfields is studied, the recommended algorithm of fixed reactive power compensation and dynamic reactive power compensation capacity suitable for engineering application is summarized, and verifies the effect of the reactive power compensation scheme through ETAP simulation is verified. It has certaimreference sign ificance for similar offshore high voltage transmission projects.
