Analysis of shore power application in offshore oil and gas field

  • With the development of offshore oil and gas fields, the power consumption scale of offshore oilfields is increasing. It is of great significance to explore new ways of power supply for offshore oil and gas fields from the perspectives of energy conservation and emission reduction, as well as power supply reliability and economy. A new idea which uses power from shore to supply for offshore oil and gas fields is proposed, and the design principles and key points of shore power application are discussesed. Finally, a specific shore power engineering as an example is taken and the focus points of shore power application design and its difference from traditional offshore power generation scheme are summarized, which forms design method of shore power application in offshore oil and gas field and provides reference for shore power application engineering in offshore oil and gas fields.
